KUCHING: The Kuching District Police Headquarters (IPD) is appealing to members of the public for assistance to locate a 42-year-old man, Nasarudin Abu Bakar, who may hold crucial information related to a recent arson case.
According to Kuching Police Chief, ACP Mohd Farhan Lee Abdullah, the incident, which took place on October 23 along Jalan Pending, involved a Sarawak Immigration Department vehicle that was deliberately set on fire.
While one suspect was already in custody and facing charges under Section 435 of the Penal Code which carries a maximum sentence of 14 years in prison and a potential fine, however the police are still searching for Nasarudin to aid in their investigation.
Farhan urged anyone with information to come forward with details regarding Nasarudin’s whereabouts.
