BLOCKBUSTER action comedy “Polis Evo 3” has now been crowned as the country’s top selling movie in the genre, after collecting over RM50 million at the box office in 24 days. The film, directed by Syafiq Yusof, is currently in its fourth week and still going strong in cinemas around Malaysia, Singapore and Brunei. “This is very encouraging news. It is an incentive for us to come up with high quality Malaysian movies with original and entertaining stories,” executive producer Raja Jastina Raja Arshad said.
She added that the action comedy, which stars leading Malaysian actor Shaheizy Sam and popular comedian Zizan Razak as brave but crazy police officers, was now the country’s top film franchise. “I would like to thank all Malaysian cinemas that have given strong support to the third and final chapter of the adventures of super-cop Inspectors Sani and Khai.” Besides Zizan who plays Sani and Shaheizy who plays Khai, the film also stars Sharnaaz Ahmad as the antagonist, Nora Danish, Syafiq Kyle, Farali Khan, Douglas Lim, Fauzi Nawawi, Fezrul Khan and Eyka Farhana.
