MUKAH: A total of 15 representatives from Politeknik Mukah (PMU) made a benchmarking visit to the Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM) Sarawak campus here recently to further strengthen ties.
The 15 representatives from PMU consisted of seven final semester students from the Jawatankuasa Pusat Teknologi (COT) and several lecturers.
The delegation was led by Deputy Academic Director Iskandar Reduan and Head of COT Unit Nurul Asmahani Osman.
They were welcomed by the Science, Plantation and Agrotechnology school head Muhamad Syukrie Abu Talip.
According to Iskandar, the visit was aimed at reviewing and obtaining information related to plantation technology and agrotechnology as well as finding space to increase collaboration with educational institutions related to the field.
“Also to cultivate the sharing of expertise and research and innovation as well as to enable supervisors of students and final year students to get a closer picture of the problems in agriculture and plantations that can be linked to the internet of things (IoT),” he added.
