DALAT: The construction of Pondok Bomba (fire brigade hut) at Dalat Bazaar is expected to be completed by the middle of this month.
The facility is meant for the Dalat Bazaar Voluntary Fire Brigade Association or Pasatuan Bomba Sukarela Pekan Dalat (PBS Pekan Dalat) which was formed recently.
The hut would be used as an operation centre for the association members, especially during any fire or other disasters in the area.
The construction of the project which commenced in February this year involved firemen based in Mukah Division Fire and Rescue Department (Mukah FRD) located about 50 kilometres away.
With PBS Pekan Dalat as the latest one, other PBS that has been formed in the division were PBS Balingian, PBS Kpg Medong, Dalat and PBS Daro.
