KUCHING: The popular India Street here was busy and quite packed with shoppers yesterday.
New Sarawak Tribune spotted many queuing up, waiting to enter bakeries.
While some of the shops were still in the process of cleaning and restacking the shelves, shops selling clothes and mobile phones were still quiet, with shoppers hardly seen patronising them.
Most practised social distancing but not at some shops that had little space for them to walk in.
At the same time, it was noted that many shops were complying with the measures set by the government, such as taking the body temperature of shoppers before they were allowed to enter the premises.
