D-Virtual Park
KOTA SAMARAHAN: The RM13-million D-Virtual Park, located at Jalan Meranek here, is the first virtual theme park in Borneo.
It portrays the wonders of digitalisation to the local community.
According to Serba Dinamik Group Bhd group managing director Datuk Dr Mohd Abdul Karim Abdullah, D-Virtual Park was set up to highlight to the community the importance of understanding the power of digitalisation and also the technology in line with the Industrial Revolution 4.0 (IR4.0).
The park, known for its advanced visual technology, also provided a realistic experience to aid the initiative, he said.
“Another part of the park also provides exposure to the world of e-Sports. This is important in building up global networking.”
Mohd Abdul Karim said this during the D-Virtual Park media engagement session held at the facility last Wednesday evening.
He said the state-of-the-art technologies in the park’s facilities and services had put Kota Samarahan on the global map.
“Soon, we expect tourists will come from all parts of the world to visit the facility,” he added.
Mohd Abdul Karim pointed out that the facility would serve as a platform for young graduates to convey their interests in innovation.
“It’s also a place for young entrepreneurs to start up their prototyping process and promote their innovations to the entire world.
“We want to prove that young graduates will not be looking for jobs, but instead will create more job opportunities for the community,” he said.
Mohd Abdul Karim also said that the group’s network of collaborations and sources would provide all the necessary facilities where workshops were available for fabrication purposes.
“This means that it’s also a source of information for the innovators to get what they require,” he explained.
