KUCHING: The Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM) has announced a series of position rotations involving 10 senior officers, set to take effect on July 24.
According to a press statement issued by PDRM secretary Datuk Noorsiah Mohd Saaduddin yesterday, SAC Tan Beng Yeow, who is currently serving as the assistant director of the Special Branch in Bukit Aman, will assume the role of chief assistant director of the Special Branch in Bukit Aman with the rank of DCP.
Another significant rotation involves Datuk Shazeli Kahar, the chief of the Special Branch in Perak, who will be appointed as the assistant director of Bukit Aman’s Special Branch, also with the rank of DCP.
Furthermore, the current assistant director of Bukit Aman’s Special Branch Datuk Dr Lim Joo Soon, will take over Tan’s position, while SAC Norhasni Hassan will assume the role of assistant director of Bukit Aman’s Special Branch, replacing Lim.
“In addition, SAC Md Nazri Zawawi, the chief assistant director of the Special Investigation Task Force at the Integrated Secretariat Office of the Chief of Police (KPN) in Bukit Aman, will be appointed as the deputy chief of police in Melaka. His position will be filled by SAC Razali Mohamad, the commander of the Police Training Centre (PULAPOL) in Kuching, Sarawak.
“Meanwhile, ACP Zulfikar Mohd Ghazali, the commander of the Marine Police Force Headquarters in Region Five under the Ministry of Home Affairs and Public Order in Kuching, Sarawak, will assume the role of commander of PULAPOL in Kuching, Sarawak, with the rank of SAC,” she said.
She added that ACP Alina Saad, who is currently serving as the administrative ACP of the Selangor Management Department, will take up the position of chief assistant director of Community Policing in the Department of Crime Prevention and Community Safety in Bukit Aman, also with the rank of SAC.
Additionally, ACP Hishammudin Mohd Amin, the deputy chief of the Special Branch, Intelligence, and Operations in Perak, will be promoted to the rank of SAC and assume the role of chief of the Special Branch in Perak, succeeding Shazeli.
“Supt Rudy Abdullah, the chief of the Selangor Ministry of Home Affairs and Public Order, will be appointed as the deputy chief of operations staff for the Eastern Sabah Security Command (ESSCOM) under the Ministry of Home Affairs, with the rank of ACP,” she said.
