KUCHING: Transportation Assistant Minister Datuk Dr Jerip Susil’s decision to resign with immediate effect from Parti Sarawak Bersatu (PSB) has been described as positive and
far-sighted.
Progressive Democratic Party (PDP) vice president Datuk Henry Harry Jinep said this when contacted by New Sarawak Tribune yesterday.
“He has put the interest of the Bidayuh above his own,” he said.
“I believe he has weighed all issues before he made the drastic and unselfish move.”
Then he added that PDP would welcome Dr Jerip to be its member and welcome him back to the Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS) fold.
This, he said, would further the effects of “Ndi Awang Ndi Asong” (One Heart One Mind) – the last state-level Gawai Dayak theme – which was meant to promote Bidayuh unity.
