BANGKOK: Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg has arrived in Bangkok, Thailand, for the Future Energy Asia 2024 forum.

He arrived at Don Mueng International Airport together with state secretary Datuk Amar Mohamad Abu Bakar Marzuki, Minister of Utility and Telecommunication Datuk Seri Julaihi Narawi, Deputy Minister of Energy and Environmental Sustainability Datuk Dr Hazland Abang Hipni as well as other dignitaries.

His arrival at the Intercontinental Bangkok hotel was welcomed by Sarawak Energy Berhad (SEB) chief executive officer Datuk Sharbini Suhaili.

He attended a luncheon organised by SEB before receiving a courtesy call from PTTEP – the Future Energy Asia’s diamond sponsor.

PTTEP is Thailand’s petroleum exploration and production company which was established back in 1985.

For the record, Abang Johari is scheduled to deliver a keynote address titled “Sarawak Towards Sustainable Energy” tomorrow.

The forum is being held at the Queen Sirikit National Convention Centre from May 15 to 17.

Tomorrow, the Ambassador of Malaysia to the Kingdom of Thailand His Excellency Datuk Jojie Samuel is scheduled to pay a courtesy visit to Abang Johari.

The Premier is scheduled to visit SEB’s exhibition booth before delivering his keynote address followed by a media session with representatives from Recessary, AFP, LNG Correspondent from Montel, Reuters, and The Business Times.
