KUCHING: Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg attended the meeting of Menteris Besar and Chief Ministers at the Prime Minister’s Office in Putrajaya, today (Oct 24).
The two-and-a-half hour meeting which commenced at 2pm was chaired by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim.
As part of the meeting’s agenda, the Premier was given an opportunity to brief the Menteris Besar and Chief Ministers on Sarawak’s development over the past 60 years, the way forward as outlined under the Post COVID-19 Development Strategy 2030 (PCDS 2030), Sarawak’s high income status and the renewable energy development initiatives.
The federal government has recognised Sarawak as being ahead of other states in terms of sustainability and the development of a green economy.
Previously, the Premier had also given a similar briefing to the federal cabinet when it met in Kuching in conjunction with this year’s Malaysia Day celebration that was hosted by Sarawak.
Accompanying Abang Johari to the meeting was the State Secretary, Datuk Amar Abu Bakar Marzuki.
