SIBU: Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg and his wife, Datuk Amar Juma’ani Tun Tuanku Bujang, concluded their two-day festive visits at several Chinese New Year (CNY) open houses here on Wednesday.
Abang Johari and his delegation visited the residence of Public Health, Housing, and Local Government Deputy Minister Datuk Michael Tiang Ming Tee at Jalan Terap, where they were warmly greeted by Tiang and his family at approximately 9.57 am.
Sarawak Deputy Premier Datuk Amar Dr Sim Kui Hian and wife Datin Amar Enn Ong Siok Ean, Minister of Utilities and Telecommunications Datuk Seri Julaihi Narawi and wife Datin Seri Sadiah Buji and others were also present.
Next, Abang Johari and his wife visited Hock Peng managing director Datuk Toh Chiew Hock at Jalan Lanang before they continued their CNY visit to Ta Ann Holdings Berhad chief executive officer Datuk K.H Wong at Jalan Sena.
The Premier and his wife were received by Ta Ann Holdings Berhad chairman Datuk Amar Abdul Hamed Sepawi.
The couple then proceeded to the residence of the Sibu Municipal Council (SMC) chairman Clarence Ting at Jalan Beruang, where Abang Johari was greeted by Ting, his family, and SMC councillors.
Finally, Abang Johari and his wife concluded their series of Chinese New Year visits in Sibu with a stop at Bukit Assek assemblyman Joseph Chieng Jin Ek’s house at Jalan Rejang Park.
