KUCHING: Thirty-five children of the Nur Murni Care Centre here received cash contributions from Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg in conjunction with the holy month of Ramadan.

Abang Johari and wife Puan Sri Datuk Amar Juma’ani Tun Tuanku Bujang presented the Hari Raya contributions to the recipients last night.

The event was organised by the Sarawak Digital Economy Corporation (SDEC) and the Centre for Technology Excellence Sarawak (CENTEXS).

Later, the care centre received RM8,000 which was presented by SDEC and CENTEXS chairman Tan Sri Datuk Amar Mohamad Morshidi Abdul Ghani.

Premier and other guests also participated in the Maghrib, Isha and Tarawih prayers.

Among those present were Minister of Utility and Telecommunication Datuk Seri Julaihi Narawi, Sarawak Deputy State Secretary (Economic Planning and Development) Datuk Dr Muhammad Abdullah Zaidel, Chief Political Secretary to the Premier Fazzrudin Abdul Rahman and CENTEXS chief executive officer Datuk Syeed Mohd Hussien Wan Abdul Rahman.
