The eye-dotting ceremony refers to the ritual of awakening a dragon by dotting paint onto its eyes. The ritual is believed to help make the dragon fulfill its duty of bringing good fortune and prosperity.

In 2017, Press Metal Sarawak also donated four Chinese tambourines worth RM3,000 to SMK St Patrick.

The guests at yesterday’s handover ceremony were entertained by a Chinese drum performance, wushu as well as lion and dragon dance performances.
