SIBU: Prizes worth RM20,000 await the winners of the 2024 Children’s Colouring Contest organised by Farley Sibu Supermarket (Farley), scheduled for July 21.
The annual event will take place at its premises in Jalan Salim here, starting at 7.30am.
Farley human resources executive Sie Sing Ying said that various other exciting activities also await the participants and parents.
“All children are eligible to participate in the competition,” she said at a press conference on Tuesday (June 18).
Also present were Farley manager Yeo Soon Teck and Farley cafe manager Wong Siong Ming.
Participants can pick up the registration form at the Farley Membership Card Counter or scan the contest poster’s QR code provided.
The contest is divided into three categories: Group A Primary 4-6 (10-12 years old), Group B Primary 1-3 (7-9 years old) and Group C Kindergarten (5-6 years old).
The champion of each category will win a hamper worth RM500, the runner-up will receive RM400 and the third place will receive RM300.
Each of them will also get a prize in the form of a bicycle and a trophy.
There will also be hampers worth RM170 each plus trophy for 10 consolation winners and another 10 prizes as encouragement awards of RM110 plus medal.
Each participant will also get a free goodie bag and Danone Dumex is the main sponsor of the event.
Parents can also register their children by ‘walk-in’, and every participant must report 30 minutes before the event starts. The closing date for registration is not later than July 14.
