KUCHING: Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg today (May 14) received a courtesy visit from three assemblymen who recently joined the Progressive Democratic Party (PDP).
The visitors were Bawang Assan assemblyman Datuk Seri Wong Soon Koh, Engkilili assemblyman Johnical Rayong Ngipa and Ba’kelalan assemblyman Baru Bian.
During the meeting with Abang Johari held at his office in the Sarawak State Legislative Assembly (DUN) complex here, the assemblymen discussed various issues, including matters concerning their constituencies.
They also expressed gratitude to the Premier for welcoming them into the Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS) alliance.
PDP president Datuk Seri Tiong King Sing had announced that Wong was appointed as PDP senior vice-president while Rayong and Baru were appointed as vice-presidents following the dissolution of opposition Parti Sarawak Bersatu, with its members joining PDP en masse.
