PUSA: A meeting will be held with the Integrated Agricultural Development Area (IADA) to find a way to advance the agriculture and fisheries sector in the Batang Lupar constituency.
Its MP Mohamad Shafizan Kepli said Batang Lupar had a huge economic potential in the agricultural and fishing sectors that could be explored to generate income.
He was quoted as stating this in a news report by Sarawak Public Communication Unit (UKAS) during the Form 5 Graduation Ceremony of SMK Beladin here on yesterday (Feb 10).
He reminded students to prioritise education because it can change their standard of living.
“The Sarawak government has greatly developed the standard of education in the state.
“The Sarawak government under the leadership of Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg has already created job opportunities.
“Therefore, Sarawak has to find skilled workers in the field. It is hoped that SMK Beladin students will take this opportunity and continue to serve Sarawak,” he said.
At the same event, Mohamad Shafizan announced a donation of RM10,000 for SMK Beladin.
