SIMANGGANG: The Agriculture Department has been urged to be more aggressive in promoting newer and modern farming methods.
“In line with the aspirations of Sarawak, I am hoping that the department, especially in Sri Aman, be more aggressive in promoting new methods in order to produce optimum results and meeting demand,” said Simanggang assemblyman Datuk Francis Harden Hollis.
The Sarawak Deputy Minister for Education, Innovation and Talent Development had earlier met with staff of Sri Aman District Agriculture Department here on Tuesday (Jan 17).
He also explained that such action taken by the department would have a positive impact and help improve the lives of the community.
Sri Aman District Agriculture Department’s jurisdiction encompasses Sri Aman, Pantu, Lubok Antu, Lingga and Engkilili.
Earlier, Harden and department staff led by John Jadol discussed last year’s activity report and assistance.
