KAPIT: Dorothy James who specialises in beadworks to weave clothes was selected to represent Sarawak at the ‘International Borneo Festival’ in London recently to promote Sarawak’s unique tribal handicrafts and customary wears.

Kapit District Officer Cerisologo Sabut and Bukit Mabong District Officer Douglas Pungga jointly handed over the state and national flags (Jalur Gemilang) to Dorothy at the State Office Complex, Jalan Bleteh prior to her departure for London.

Also present at the handing over ceremony was her mentor Wong Yau Yeu who is an expert in beadworks cum teacher at SMK Kapit, superintendent Land and Survey Kapit Sagu Unting and local businessman Judson Jarrau.
