KUCHING: The Sarawak Housing and Real Estate Developers’ Association (SHEDA) Property Expo 2024 saw over RM21 million in total sales transactions during its three-day event from Sept 6 to 8.

In a statement, SHEDA said based on feedback received, 60 per cent of properties booked were valued above RM500,000 with just under 23 per cent of transactions being landed residential units.

It added that the purchasers also showed more interest in SOHO properties this year, representing 11 per cent of transactions.

With that, the Expo’s organising chairman Steve Tan Chen Hang recorded his appreciation to all stakeholders who had contributed towards the success of the event.

“SHEDA understood the need for the Expo to evolve in keeping with heightened expectations brought about by Sarawak’s digital revolution.

“Therefore, the future Expos may include a concurrent conference component where industry players could exchange ideas and knowledge to advance property industries, within and beyond Sarawak,” he said.
