REMBAU: The Ministry of Defence has brought the proposal paper on the pension adjustment of the Malaysian Armed Forces (MAF) personnel who retired before and in 2013 to the Cabinet committee chaired by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim.
Minister Datuk Seri Mohamad Hasan said this was because there was an anomaly in the pension structure for the group after the salary adjustment in 2013.
“This became an issue because in 2013 there was a salary adjustment made but the MAF pension was not adjusted. We hope this pension adjustment will be given attention,” he told reporters when met at the operations room of the Selemak district polling centre here yesterday. – BERNAMA
