KUCHING: Parti Rakyat Sarawak (PRS) has no problems with Parti Sarawak Bersatu (PSB) contesting in all the state seats in the next election.

Deputy Chief Minister Tan Sri Dr James Jemut Masing (pic) said this was part of democracy.

“PSB’s challenge, we will accept,” said Masing, who is also the PRS president.

On July 21, PSB president Datuk Seri Wong Soon Koh said the party would go all out to win all the seats during a function at the Sri Aman Civic Centre.

“The freedom to contest in many seats ahead of the upcoming state election is one of the reasons why PSB chose to quit the state government,” he said.

However, on July 17, Wong said he and Chief Minister Datuk Patinggi Abang Johari Tun Openg would remain best of friends.

“I, as president of PSB, would do everything to help the Chief Minister to work hard for the people and the state of Sarawak,” he said.
