KUCHING: Parti Rakyat Sarawak (PRS) is ready for the state election, ‘even if it is held tomorrow’, said its youth chief Datuk Snowdan Lawan.

He said, be it the Women or the Youth wings of PRS, all of them are ready for the polls which may be announced anytime.

“The most important thing is the unity among all Sarawakians in fighting for their rights.

“All parties outside Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS) are our enemy whether they declare themselves as local party or otherwise,” he said at the GPS Balai Ringin solidarity night at Dewan Serbaguna SJK Chung Hua in Serian on Friday.

Snowdan, who is a also Balai Ringin assemblyman, said that the policies of Chief Minister Datuk Patinggi Abang Johari Tun Openg is clear for all to see through the launch of the Sarawakku Sayang programme this month.

“For Balai Ringin, the chief minister announced an allocation of RM10 million to build a mini stadium and a new district office.

“Other than that, a total of RM256 million is approved to build a road to Kampung Tuba, Mentu, Muding and Sungai Indai while RM106 million is approved for similar purposes in Batang Skrang, Keranggas and others,” he said.

He added that an allocation of RM25 million was approved to build a road to Melikin while another RM50 million Kampung Menangkin to Keranji.

“All these projects will be implemented within the next five years as our commitment to the constituents of Balai Ringin,” he said.
