KUCHING: Following Parti Rakyat Sarawak’s (PRS) unsuccessful attempt in recapturing the Julau parliamentary seat in the 15th general election (GE15), the party will conduct a post-mortem to find out what went wrong.
Its deputy information chief Andy Lawrence said the party had already more or less identified the root cause of the failure in winning Julau.
“PRS will do a post-mortem on the Julau seat although we have already identified the root cause of the failure with the help of intelligence from various agencies,” he said in a statement today (Nov 20).
Moving forward, he said, PRS will come up with new strategies to recapture Julau in the next general election.
In this GE15, PRS defended the Kanowit and Hulu Rajang parliamentary seats, while it managed to recapture Sri Aman, Lubok Antu, and Selangau.
Andy said PRS is regaining its strength after winning five out of the six seats it contested.
“Most important in this GE15, PRS once again created history as Malaysians and Sarawakians will witness the first Dayak or Iban woman in parliament,” he said.
