KUCHING: A total of 100 packs of food aid were distributed to residents at 10th mile Penrissen Road here, yesterday (Aug 23).
The food items — rice bags, canned food, noodles, and biscuits — were delivered by Parti Sarawak Bersatu (PSB) N13 Liu Thian Leong under PSB Batu Kitang’s ongoing ‘Prihatin’ campaign.
Liu then delivered food to some families quarantined in Kampung Bumbok, Haji Baki, Kampung Sinar Baru, and Kampung Paya Mebi in the afternoon.
The door-to-door food distribution was done while complying with the strict standard operating procedures (SOPs).
He also delivered a manual hospital bed to a bedridden cancer patient, Andy Stevelee, in Kampung Sinar Baru on the same day.
“With the aids given today, I hoped they could help to ease the family’s burden,” he said.
