KUALA LUMPUR: Parti Sarawak Bersatu (PSB) has vouched its full support to Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS) for greater unity and solidarity in the state.
PSB president Datuk Seri Wong Soon Koh said the party is pledging its full support to Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg to ensure that all initiatives and efforts to make Sarawak a developed state successful.
“We want Abang Johari and his cabinet to be able to deliver their policies which are very people-centric. The GPS state government’s ‘people first’ initiatives while carrying out visionary and farsighted projects as well as programmes to achieve the developed state status is commendable.
“In fact, during the last state legislative assembly (DUN) sitting, I made a very clear stand that PSB supports all of these in the spirit of unity for the betterment of our beloved state,” he said.
He made these remarks in his speech after signing the collaboration memorandum of understanding (MOU) between Progressive Democratic Party (PDP) and PSB here yesterday.
At the same time, Wong expressed his gratitude to PDP president Datuk Seri Tiong King Sing on the collaboration MOU between both parties.
He said this would enable both parties to work closely to better serve the people under the GPS state government.
“I would like to thank Tiong for making the arrangements which have made it possible for us to work closely together, for PDP and PSB to become united as a family,” he said.
