KANOWIT: The United People’s Party (UPP) under its new name, ‘Parti Sarawak Bersatu’ (PSB) will contest in several state constituencies in the upcoming 12th State Elections (PRN12).

This was revealed by former Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department Datuk Joseph Entulu Belaun when briefing on the setting up of PSB at a restaurant here yesterday.

However, Entulu did not reveal which seats to contest.

“PSB will only contest and place its candidates in areas with great potential to win.

“This is in our negotiations where it will be known to us after we look at the matter (the seats that can be won),” he said.

The former Selangau MP and PRS deputy president said PSB has no problem to place candidates, including their funding.

“There is no problem in their funding. We have enough funds to contest,” he added.

More than 100 people attended the PSB briefing. Entulu and others at the briefing are expected to join PSB.
