KUCHING: Parti Sarawak Bersatu (PSB) should re-evaluate its sincerity in protecting Sarawakians with the proposed formation of Borneo Alliance.
Minister for Modernisation of Agriculture and Regional Development Datuk Seri Dr Stephen Rundi Utom questioned PSB’s intention in bringing outsiders to bring down “our very own government”.
“Other than that, we should also question their sincerity towards their course to protect Sarawakians – whether it is mere rhetoric or political gimmicks,” he said when contacted by the New Sarawak Tribune on Monday (Mar 28).
He was asked to comment on the proposed establishment of Borneo Alliance among opposition political parties in Sarawak and Sabah.
Dr Rundi said the Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS) was always firm and has clear agenda in protecting Sarawak.
“Whatever actions taken, we will ensure that the motto of ‘Sarawak First’ is upheld,” he emphasised.
Recently, PSB president Datuk Seri Wong Soon Koh called on opposition parties in Sarawak and Sabah to form Borneo Alliance, as a united front in facing the 15th general election.
He said this synergistic partnership will be a leap forward for the Borneo states.
