BINTULU: The Parent-Teacher Association (PTA) plays a crucial role in driving progress and achievements towards educational excellence.

According to Deputy Minister of Infrastructure and Port Development, Datuk Majang Renggi, the PTA is responsible for monitoring the school’s performance and student behaviour.

“While teachers are responsible for discipline within the school premises, the PTA’s role is crucial outside of school to keep an eye on the students,” he said this during the Pre-launch Ceremony of the SK Sri Simalajau Bintulu School Logo recently.

Additionally, PTA also works towards addressing any financial shortcomings by seeking funds and increasing the school’s finances.

During the ceremony, Majang pledged RM20,000 to the school’s fund.

The principal, Mordiana Mohammaed, and PTA interim chairman, Nyalong Manggi, were also present.
