KUCHING: State Health Department (JKNS) has recently announced the 14-day quarantine exception for those who had already been vaccinated.
Its director Dr Chin Zin Hing stressed that the exception however, refers only to the Covid-19 vaccination and the timeline of its administration.
In short, those who had receive Covid-19 jabs may still be subjected to the 14-day quarantine order if there is any reason or evidence leading to chances of having contact with positive cases, upon entry to Sarawak and so on.
He was commenting on a news report by TVS entitled “No Need For 14-Day Quarantine for Workers Once Vaccinated” on April 20.
He further discussed on the matter during a news programme on TVS entitled “No Need For 14-Day Quarantine for Workers Once Vaccinated” on April 20.
“The Department would like to clarify that the statement on no need for quarantine refers specifically to Covid-19 vaccination and the period immediately after receiving vaccination.
“This was in response to the question asked by members of the public regarding on whether a person needs to be quarantined for 14 days immediately after receiving vaccination,” he said in a statement issued today.
