KUCHING: A foreigner had attempted to jump from the ledge of his 3rd floor hotel room at Kuching waterfront here yesterday at 9.50 am.
The 32-year-old Mongolian was seen by members of the public who called the firemen for help. The firemen tried to persuade him but he did not understand English nor Bahasa Malaysia.
They later sought help from a hotel staff who can speak his language and persuaded the foreigner to return to his room.
The foreigner then unlocked his room door and allowed the firemen to enter. He was later handed to the police for further action.
