KUCHING: The public are invited to enliven the much-awaited Family Fun Day on Saturday (Sept 21).
Organised by Tunku Putra-HELP School, the Fun Day is scheduled to start from 9am to 3pm at its campus.
Embracing an adventurous “Jungle Adventure” theme, this year’s fun day offers a fun-filled day of exploration, excitement, and community bonding for families throughout Kuching.
The unique aspect of the Tunku Putra-HELP Family Fun Day lies in its dedication to community and charitable causes.
“This year, all net proceeds from the event will be donated to the Malaysian Nature Society (MNS), an non-governmental organisations (NGO) dedicated to conservation and environmental education in Malaysia,” said the press release issued by Tunku Putra-HELP School, Thursday (Sept 12).
Visitors can expect a lively bazaar offering mouth-watering food, exciting games, and captivating performances.
“Unique handicrafts and pre-loved items will also be on sale, giving families a chance to find treasures while contributing to a great cause.
“New this year is the glamping experience,where families can relax in themed tents that bring the jungle to life.
“For the adventurous, there’s also a jungle obstacle course designed to challenge participants of all ages, adding an extra element of fun to the day,” it said.
Visitors are encouraged to dress according to the “Jungle Adventure” theme and participate in a best-dressed competition, with prizes awarded for the most creative and adventurous outfits.
Meanwhile, Tunku Putra-HELP School executive principal Shirley Harrison said that their annual Family Fun Day is more than just a school event, it is a celebration of community spirit, creativity, and compassion.
“We’re thrilled to welcome families for a day of fun and adventure, all while supporting the Malaysian Nature Society’s incredible work,” she said.
Besides, Malaysian Nature Society Kuching Branch chairperson Rose Au Nyat Jun, said that they are honoured to be the selected charity for Tunku Putra-HELP’s Family Fun Day this year.
