KUCHING: Hope Place received over RM8,500 worth of items from generous donors recently.

Hope Place, in a statement yesterday (Apr 12), expressed its gratitude towards the members of the public for their contribution.

“Among the donors are Coollala at CityONE Megamall, Tea Time Café (Jalan Keretapi), Flaxo Trading Sdn Bhd (2 ½ mile), Easy Move Sdn Bhd, Specast Industrial Sdn Bhd and the late Wong Paik Yan @ Wong Paik Lin.

“The contribution includes 200 boxes of medical masks, 50 boxes of dry noodles, 19 boxes of biscuits and 36 boxes of Milo,” Hope Place said.

On another note, the non-governmental organisation also revealed that it received over RM3,000 to help a 66-year-old woman, Bida Pupor, who is bedridden.

“The aid will be used to purchase two types of special milk for her. She has haemorrhage and is tube-fed.

“We gave her a one-off contribution of 31 cans of special milk powder. The contribution was handed over to Sarawak General Hospital’s medical social worker Hamzah Bolhan,” Hope Place added.
