KUCHING: The Public Service Remuneration Scheme (SSPA) will be implemented starting in 2025 after the related study processes such as engagement sessions, analysis, data refinement, and final government approval.
Director of the Pension Division of the Public Service Department (PSD) Datuk Mohd Shaiful Ibrahim said that in an effort to enhance the performance of the public service, the government has agreed in principle to conduct the SSPA study.
He asserted that the continuous initiative to strengthen and improve remuneration aspects is carried out by the PSD to ensure the competitiveness of the public service through three main scopes: organisational development, remuneration system sustainability, and talent management.
“To ensure ‘No One’s Left Behind’ in this study, I call on all Sarawak civil servants, whether appointed by the state or federal government from all service schemes and grade levels, to contribute their views to this study,” he said.
He made these remarks during the Engagement Session of the Public Service Remuneration System Study with Sarawak Civil Servants held on today.
He added that the department will prepare an interim report on the study with a primary focus on remuneration equity by the end of 2023.
