MIRI: The public are urged to make online appointments in advance with the National Registration Department (NRD) and the Immigration Department’s office at Urban Transformation Centre (UTC) Miri.
The public can do so via NRD’s website (https://mytemujanji.jpn.gov.my) or by scanning the QR code displayed at the counter or on their website.
As for the Immigration Department, appointments can be made through the department’s website (http://sto.imi.gov.my/e-temujanji).
Transport Minister Datuk Lee Kim Shin, who is also the minister in charge of the Miri Division Disaster Management Committee (DDMC), conducted a Covid-19 standard operating procedures (SOPs) compliance monitoring visit on Sunday (March 21).
“This morning’s visit was done to see the operations of government agencies at UTC Miri and ensure that the SOPs outlined by the government are strictly complied with,” he said.
During his visit, he also suggested that a canopy be set up outside the premises with chairs spaced out evenly from each other to provide a more comfortable experience for those queuing outside.
“I hope that the public remain vigilant and always adhere strictly to the SOPs,” he said.
UTC Miri resumed operations on March 17, from 8am to 5pm.
In addition to the NRD and Immigration Department, other government agencies operating at UTC Miri are Service Sarawak, Road Transport Department (JPJ) and Inland Revenue Board of Malaysia (LHDN).
