OPENING OF HARDWARE, AGRICULTURAL INPUT AND SPARE PARTS STORES
KUCHING: Many people are glad that the state government decided to allow certain hardware shops, shops selling agricultural input, and shops dealing in spare parts for agricultural and industrial machines to open during the movement control order (MCO) period.
Last April 5, Sarawak Disaster Management Committee deputy chairman Datuk Abdul Karim Rahman Hamzah announced that all these shops would open twice a week from 7am to 7pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
The decision was made after considering feedback from the public, he said at a daily press conference of the committee.
Regarding agricultural inputs, he explained that they referred mainly to fertilisers, pesticides and livestock feed.
