The parliamentary constituency of Puncak Borneo, formerly known as Mambong, has a variety of natural tourist attractions. The authorities have come out with various activities that attract participation from both locals and foreigners. Among the annual activities that pull the crowd are the Padawan International 4×4 Challenge in Bengoh, Padawan Raft Safari, Borneo Highland Nature Challenge and the Semadang River Tagang Festival.
Puncak Borneo also has many attractive tourist spots such as the Borneo Heights, the waterfalls in Kpg Giam and Kpg Sikog, the hotsprings in Kpg Anna Rais and Kpg Panchor, the Bengoh Dam, Semenggoh Wildlife Centre and others. Puncak Borneo comprises the state seats of Serembu (N.18), Mambong (N.19), formerly called Bengoh and Tarat (N.20) which are currently represented by Miro Simuh (BN-PBB), Datuk Dr Jerip Susil (BN-Direct) and Datuk Roland Sagah Wee In (BN-PBB) respectively. The constituency is predominantly Bidayuh with an electorate of some 50,000.
The majority of villages in the area have access to clean water and electricity supply, as well as tar-sealed roads. Several road projects aimed at connecting more villages in the Upper Padawan area have already been approved by the Stat e Government and will be launched soon. However, the focus is not solely on physical development but also that of human capital and socioeconomic welfare of the people.
Hence, educational programmes aimed at producing a more knowledgeable future generation have been planned as well as the opening up of more land for commercial farming and rubber block planting. Among the government agencies located in Puncak Borneo are Puncak Borneo Prison, Police Training Centre (Pulapol), Rajah Charles Brooke Memorial Hospital, Allied Health Sciences College, Botanical Research Centre and others.
The constituency contains the polling districts of Siniawan, Kranji, Kopit, Krokong, Mambong, Siburan, Braang, Duras, Pulasar, Nyiru, Giam, Podam, Peninjau Baru, Merembeh, Kandis, Sungai Pinang, Paku, Tanjung Durian, Lidah Tanah, Seropak, Seromah, Segubang, Sogo, Rabak Rotan, Pangkalan Tebang, Monggak, Blimbin, Gumbang, Padang Pan, Puak Krokong, Sikog, Staang, Petag, Bayor, Jambu, Semban, Tebia, Danu, Temurang, Bengoh, Gerung, Semadang, Karu, Masaan, Seratau, Punau, Bunuk, Tijirak, Batu Gong, Simpuk, Sekuduk, Anah Rais, Panchor, Pekan Tarat, Baki, Ampungan, Tapah, Petung, Tabuan Rabak, Mundai, Beratok, Pesang, Gayu, Sarig, Sira, Teng Bukap, Subang, Stabut, Peraya, Maang, Merakep, Bisira, Dunuk, Semaru, Belimbing, Sepit, Kiding, Simuti, Maras, Sadir, Pengkalan Ampat, Retoh, Sungai Barie, Tarat Baru, Munggu Lalang, Rayang, Sebemban, Tanah Puteh.
