KUCHING: The Sarawak Timber Industry Development Corporation (PUSAKA) has formally adopted an Anti-Corruption and Anti-Bribery Policy, which was approved by its chairman on June 21.
The corporation marked the occasion with a signing ceremony on Monday at Wisma Sumber Alam, Petra Jaya.
PUSAKA general manager Zainal Abidin Abdullah and the management team were present.
“This signifies PUSAKA’s unwavering commitment to upholding the highest standards of integrity, transparency, accountability, and professionalism,” the corporation said in a statement.
It added that the policy aligns with its six Shared Values: Professionalism, Freshness and Shared Spirit, Kindness and Care, Team Spirit, Integrity, and Results Orientation.
PUSAKA is resolute in its stance against bribery and corruption in all forms.
“We adopt a zero-tolerance approach and will not hesitate to take stern action against such offences.”
The policy serves as a comprehensive guideline on bribery and corruption, including reporting procedures and prevention measures. It underpins PUSAKA’s dedication to integrity and transparency in its operations.
“This policy is instrumental in fostering a culture of integrity among our staff, providing clear direction and guidance, and ensuring that all opportunities for misconduct are effectively addressed,” it added.
