MIRI: Pustaka Negeri, branch here is inviting the public and children, aged nine and above, to the MakerSpace: Art and Dance Class which will be held every Saturday from March 2, 2024.
The programme will take place until July this year from 2 pm until 4 pm at its Auditorium.
The objective of organising this class is to encourage the general public to appreciate the culture and discipline of dance, as well as global well-being.
Additionally, the programme will introduce various types of dances, mainly cultural dances from Sarawak.
Therefore, the organising of this class is hoped to assist the general public in exploring new discoveries about the healthy lifestyle of the local
community.
Not only that, this class can enhance participants’ knowledge of the art of dance and how to create compelling choreography that impacts and provides meaningful experiences for all age groups, while also promoting healthy living habits at all times.

The classes will be conducted according to a structured module by the facilitator, Zaidi Husin, along with the assistance of six volunteers from Form Six students around Miri City.
They will cover both contemporary and traditional dances representing various ethnicities in Malaysia, especially Sarawak.
