KUCHING: Puteri Dang Balai Yayasan Sarawak dominate day one of Sarawak Regatta 2024.
A brilliant sunny morning set the stage for the Sarawak Regatta 2024 as throngs of visitors flocked to the Kuching Waterfront to witness the excitement of paddlers in action. The atmosphere buzzed with anticipation, with many spectators capturing the thrilling races on their phones and watching the large LED screens broadcasting the event live.
In a stunning display of skill and speed, Puteri Dang Balai Yayasan Sarawak emerged victorious in multiple categories. They clinched first place in the prestigious ‘Raja Sungai Piala TYT’ local category with an impressive time of 7 minutes and 17 seconds.
Their dominance continued in the Piala Antarabangsa Borneo open category, where they again secured the top spot with a remarkable time of 7 minutes and 10 seconds. The team also excelled in the Men’s 25 Paddlers Category, heat A, finishing first with a time of 7 minutes and 37 seconds.
They showcased their prowess further by placing both 1st and 2nd in the Men’s 15 Paddlers Category, heat A, with times of 8 minutes 1 second and 8 minutes 7 seconds, respectively.
