PVTKR appoints Uggah as advisor

KUCHING: A delegation from the Rangers Corps Veterans Association (PVTKR) paid a courtesy call on Deputy Chief Minister, Datuk Amar Douglas Uggah Embas at his office at Wisma Bapa Malaysia, recently.

The purpose of the courtesy was to appoint Uggah as the advisor of the association, to which he accepted the appointment.

At the same time, PVTKR president, Lt-Col Mohd Melintang Abdullah invited Uggah to grace the association’s charity dinner to be held at Grand Margherita Hotel here on 1 April.

The dinner is in conjuntion with the Army Day celebration.

“We also briefed him (Uggah) on the purpose of our association and the dinner itself.

“We want to help veterans who had served to protect the security of country and state during the communist insurgency in the 70’s,” said Mohd Melintang.
