MIRI: A 11-foot-long python was found early this morning under a shoe rack at a house in Mile 5, Jalan Pujut, here.
The alarming discovery was made by the 45-year-old homeowner, who immediately alerted the Malaysia Civil Defence Force (APM).
According to an APM spokesperson, they received a distressed call at 1.45 am.
The homeowner had reportedly heard a noise outside the house, prompting him to investigate.
Upon checking, he saw the large snake slithering and taking refuge beneath the shoe rack.
APM personnel responded swiftly, capturing the snake in under 10 minutes using a special tool designed for such tasks.
