KUCHING: Her Majesty, Raja Permaisuri Agong Tunku Azizah Aminah Maimunah Iskandariah Al-Marhum Al-Mutawakkil Alallah Sultan Iskandar Al-Haj arrived at the Kuching International Airport yesterday for a four-day visit to Kuching.

The Queen arrived on a special plane at 12 noon and was welcomed by the wife of Sarawak Premier, Puan Sri Datuk Amar Juma’ani Tun Tuanku Bujang.

Also present to welcome the Raja Permaisuri Agong’s arrival were the Minister of Women, Child Development and Community Welfare (KPWK), Dato Sri Fatimah Abdullah and the Deputy Minister of Women and Child Development of Sarawak, Datuk Rosey Yunus.

The Raja Permaisuri Agong later visited the Centre of Technical Excellence Sarawak (CENTEXS) workshop at Jalan Sultan Tengah, Santubong, and was entertained to dinner onboard the Sarawak River cruise ship on the banks of Kuching River.

She is scheduled to attend the 13th Conference of the World Association of Rural Women (ACWW) Central Asia and the Far East at the Grand Margherita Hotel today (July 5) and will visit the Brooke Gallery at Fort Margherita in the afternoon.

The Raja Permaisuri Agong will return to the federal capital on Thursday (July 7).
