KOTA SAMARAHAN: The Integrated Rabies Operation for the Kota Samarahan area officially commenced last Tuesday.
The launch ceremony was officiated by the chairman of Kota Samarahan Municipal Council (MPKS) Datuk Peter Minos at the MPKS office compound here.
Through this operation, MPKS has the authority to capture stray dogs found roaming in public areas in an effort to curb the increasing transmission of rabies cases.
This operation is carried out in and around Kota Samarahan, Asajaya, and the Sub-district of Sadong Jaya.
MPKS is also collaborating with several agencies such as the Kuching South City Council (MBKS), Padawan Municipal Council (MPP), Sarawak Security and Enforcement Unit (UKPS), Department of Veterinary Services Samarahan Division (DVS), Samarahan Division Health Office, and the Kota Samarahan District Police.
