KUCHING: Toh Puan Ragad Kurdi Taib has denied that she has removed her husband, former head of state Tun Pehin Sri Abdul Taib Mahmud from a hospital against doctors’ advice.
“That’s not true,” she said in a post on her Instagram account on Monday (Feb 5).
In the same page, she posted a photo which appears to be a medical note allegedly written by a registered nurse.
Together with the photo, she put a caption, saying ‘This is the proof’.
Earlier, a police report went viral on social media about Taib being taken by Ragad while he was undergoing treatment at a private hospital in the city.
Sarawak police commissioner Datuk Mancha Ata confirmed in a statement that the police had received a report on the matter.
He said the case was being investigated and called on the public not to share or speculate on the issue as action could be taken against those sharing false information.
