KUCHING: Toh Puan Datuk Patinggi Ragad Kurdi Taib, wife of Head of State Tun Pehin Sri Abdul Taib Mahmud, recently gave donations through ‘Majlis Jalinan Kasih’.
A total of 152 less fortunate families benefited from the donations which consisted of basic necessities such as rice, sugar, flour and cash.
This initiative was an expression of Raghad’s concern for this group which has been greatly affected by the Covid-19 pandemic.
She presented the donations personally accompanied by Welfare, Community Wellbeing, Women, Family and Childhood Development (KKWPK) Minister Datuk Seri Fatimah Abdullah, and Demak assemblyman Dr Hazlan Abang Hipni.
The presentation ceremony on Sunday (March 21) was held at Surau Taman Sepakat Jaya in RPR Demak Laut and continued at Datuk Seri Haji Wan Junaidi Community Hall in Kampung Goebilt, Masjid Imanuddin at Kampung Bako Lot, and Masjid Darul Ikhwan at Muara Tebas, Kuching.
