KUCHING: The rain did not dampen the spirit of charity for Toh Puan Datuk Patinggi Ragad Kurdi Taib in visiting and handing over aid to poor families in Petra Jaya here this evening (Oct 8).
The wife of Head of State Tun Pehin Sri Abdul Taib Mahmud was accompanied by Welfare, Community Wellbeing, Women, Family and Childhood Development Minister Datuk Fatimah Abdullah.
During the visit, each recipient received basic necessities and financial assistance. Ragad visited 25 recipients.
The ‘Jalinan Kasih’ programme was organised to ease the burden of each recipient’s family, especially during the recovery movement control order (RMCO).
