KUCHING: Head of State Tun Pehin Sri Abdul Taib Mahmud is still recovering abroad.
Yesterday (Aug 6), his wife, Toh Puan Datuk Patinggi Raghad Kurdi Taib, shared a brief video of Taib which was shot and posted on her official Instagram account.
The video is believed to be taken at a cafe by the seaside.
In the video, while featuring Taib, Raghad conveyed a message, saying, “Happy Sunday to everyone. Hello Tun. Hello husband. I love you. We all love you. Long life, Insya-Allah (God willing).”
On Aug 3, Astana Negeri Sarawak, in a statement, said the public have continuously harped on the health conditions of the Head of State despite the assurance from both Astana and Sarawak Premier’s office that he is currently recuperating overseas.
“On behalf of the Astana, once again we would like to assure the people of Sarawak that Tun’s condition has been improving and God willing, and with his doctor’s advice, he will come home very soon.
“We hope the people will be patient and not be easily hoodwinked by unverified news and speculations on Tun’s current health,” the statement read.
