MIRI: Some 100 individuals here received donations in conjunction with the Chinese New Year (CNY) celebration.
The Sarawak Public Communications Unit (UKAS) reported that the wife of the head of state, Toh Puan Datuk Patinggi Raghad Kurdi Taib, presented the donations to the recipients during the Majlis Jalinan Kasih Tahun Baru Cina at Marriot Hotel and Spa Miri, recently.
Also present were Deputy Minister of Women, Early Chilhood and Community Wellbeing Development Datuk Rosey Yunus and the wife of state Transport Minister, Datin Seri Kong Shui Lin.
For the record, the programme was initiated by Raghad herself, who is actively involved in channeling donations to the needy.
