MIRI: A series of Rahmah Sales are scheduled to be held by participating supermarkets here in conjunction with the upcoming Chinese New Year celebration, starting from today until February 27.
In disclosing this today, Miri MP Chiew Choon Man said this initiative is part of his parliamentary service centre in collaboration with the Ministry of Domestic Trade and Cost of Living Miri.
“This initiative is to enable the underprivileged to obtain essential goods at lower prices, especially during festive seasons, whereby higher volume of sales will occur when there is a demand for such items.
“This is a good effort to ease the people’s burden during Chinese New Year,” he added.
The Rahmah Sales will be held at Sweety Fruit Fresh Mart (Feb 3 to 4) from 8 am to 5 pm; on Feb 4 at Emart Riam Shopping Mall and Nam Leong Permyjaya (8.30 am to 9.30 pm); Ah Hong Grocer (Feb 7) from 8 am to 10 am; Feb 24 to 25 to be held at PJR Seahorse King, Piasau and PJR Easy Go, Pujut (from 9 am to 5 pm).
