KUCHING: Sarawakians must come together as a team and rally behind the Chief Minister Datuk Patinggi (Dr) Abang Johari Tun Openg in getting the State’s rights back, especially on the oil revenue matter.
According to Assistant Minister of Rural Electricity Dr Abdul Rahman Junaidi the Chief Minister had initiated an effort to gather views from all parties, especially the Advocates Association of Sarawak in handling the suit by Petronas.
“I am in support of the chief minister’s move and we all must work as a team for the sake of the State, not based on political agenda.
“I urge all parties, including Parti Pesaka Bumiputera Bersatu (PBB) to set aside their political view and work together with the others as a Sarawakian team to claim back the State’s rights from Petronas through the federal government,” said Rahman.
He also noted that Sarawakians will also support the chief minister’s move through the legislative method.
“I would also like to urge Sarawakians to put Sarawak first in everything we do as the state has been left far behind in terms of development, and now is the time to get our rights back and also what is supposed to be ours,” he said.
